Position Summary:
The Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer serves as a technical lead on municipal wastewater projects, providing engineering review, oversight, and mentorship while ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effective project execution.
Essential Job Functions:

\u2981 Serve as Senior Engineer on a wide variety of municipal wastewater projects.
\u2981 Review conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
\u2981 Review detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
\u2981 Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
\u2981 Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on reports and design projects.
\u2981 Develop and review engineering interpretations of specifications and drawings and recommend design modifications.
\u2981 Resolve technical questions and plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
\u2981 Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers.
\u2981 Provide construction support services, including field meetings, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, and RFIs.
\u2981 Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
\u2981 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with a focus on water/wastewater.
\u2981 Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado.
\u2981 Minimum of 15 years of experience with water and wastewater treatment projects.
\u2981 Experience with jurisdictional and regulatory permitting.
\u2981 Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
\u2981 Design experience with pipe materials, valves, and pumps.
\u2981 Experience with hydraulic system calculations, pump stations, pressure pipelines, storm and sanitary sewer pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
\u2981 Previous experience in business development.
\u2981 Active membership and participation in professional organizations such as RMWEA or RMSAWWA.
Physical Requirements:
\u2981 Ability to perform office-based engineering work with occasional site visits to active construction or treatment facilities.
\u2981 Ability to sit, stand, and move between office and field environments for extended periods.
\u2981 Occasional lifting of light materials or equipment up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
\u2981 Combination of office, client, and field environments.
\u2981 Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during site visits.
\u2981 Moderate noise levels when visiting construction or treatment facilities.
\u2981 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Additional Information:
\u2981 Employment Type: Full-time.
\u2981 Work Location: Hybrid within the Denver, Colorado area.
\u2981 Travel Requirements: Occasional local or regional travel for meetings and site visits.
Compensation Range:
$130,000.00 to $200,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
