Job title: Sr. Wireless Networks SW & Product Manager

Description:

We are looking for a Senior Wireless Networks SW & Product Manager to join our Networks Engineering team. As part of team, you will manage innovative new products and SW package developments for the latest technologies to be delivered to the customers' commercial wireless networks. You will have end-to-end ownership for the new products and SW package developments, from the initial requirements through the final delivery, with the reward being able to see them actually implemented and used by customers in their commercial networks.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • RAN Technical Product Manager for new SW and products for wireless network customers
  • Leads and manages new product and SW package introduction, validation and implementation for wireless network customers
  • Manage customer deliverables to meet customer expectations and product requirements
  • Manage product and SW delivery specific risks to minimize impacts to the customers
  • Communications and reporting for internal teams, management, and external customers
  • Management of internal and external customers for the development and delivery of new products and SW
  • Manage and coordinate resources (personnel, equipment, tools, etc.) for SW and RAN products and activities to complete them successfully
  • Manage internal lab requirements and set-ups for the support of new products and SW packages
  • Manage specific projects and customers simultaneously for the success and growth of the wireless networks business

Skillset Required:

  • Technical knowledge of 4G and 5G wireless networks (Virtualized)
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize assignments to effectively meet challenging schedules and requirements
  • Very detailed, goal-driven, and achievement-oriented person who has a competitive and strong desire to succeed
  • Ability to work, manage, and prioritize expectations from multiple external and internal customers
  • Capability to communicate with peers, team members, management, and customers on visions, plans, status, and risk management that are critical to a successful project
  • Comfortable with making quick/key decisions with limited information and then taking responsibility to push forward
  • Ability to manage and bring together a team from multiple groups to achieve goals and meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Leadership skills to help manage successful projects and work cooperatively with peer groups and customers
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision required, must be highly motivated and self-driven
  • Ability to critically evaluate and question data
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft and other Project Management Tools
  • Comfortable with a highly dynamic and changing work environment
  • Positive attitude and persistence are key to success in this role
  • Quarterly domestic travel

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Engineering or Management Undergraduate Degree from an accredited university (advanced degree is a plus)
  • Minimum 10 years in Technical Project/Product Management related activities
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Networks and/or Telecommunications Projects
  • Previously management of wireless new product and/or SW package development and delivery for a major operator
  • Strong background in 4G and 5G networks in wireless technologies. A background in virtualized networks is preferred
  • Background in managing multiple products and/or activities simultaneously
  • Experience working and coordinating activities from multiple groups
  • In-direct Personnel Management experience
