ABOUT CBRE EXPERIENCE SERVICES
CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate firm, with 155,000 employees and $35.6B in revenue across more than 100 countries. Experience by Industrious (EBI) is how CBRE runs the experience of being in a building: over 7,000 experience employees across 2,500+ buildings, bringing Industrious' hospitality operating model to corporate environments at scale. The goal is to make the people inside these buildings feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and cared for, every single day.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits at a flagship client account in Boston, a high-profile environment with its own culture, stakeholder relationships, and definition of excellence. It's a client with high expectations and a brand identity that runs through every interaction your team has.
You're running a full operation, with its own service lines, vendor relationships, budget accountability, and client point of contact. Events are a significant part of the scope, but they sit on top of a full-time commitment to making the building perform at a premium standard every single day.
Your team delivers concierge experience, VIP and high-profile event management, reception, and facilities services. You hire for it, train for it, set the standard for it, and hold the line when pressure builds. You are the person the client calls when something is complicated, and the person who makes the call when it is.
The complexity is real. Senior stakeholders expect a consistently premium experience, and the site expects to feel like your full-time focus. Day to day, this is a standard on-site work week; evenings and weekends come up specifically around high-profile events, not as a general expectation of after-hours availability. The client's brand lives in every interaction your team has, and you're accountable for all of it.
The upside: this is a role with real scope and visibility. Flagship, high-profile accounts attract operators who want to do this work at the highest level. If you want to build something (a team, a standard, a reputation), this is one of the fastest ways to show what you're capable of.
One more thing that won't show up anywhere else in this posting: this is one of the coolest event spaces in the city. We can't get into specifics about who you'll be working alongside, but expect to interact with VIPs on a regular basis, people you never thought you'd meet.
WHAT YOU'RE ULTIMATELY ACCOUNTABLE FOR
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE
You arrive early enough to walk the site before the building fills, a quick loop to confirm spaces are show-ready, team members are in position, and nothing is quietly wrong before the day starts. You kick off with a brief sync with your leads to align on the event load and any VIP arrivals. By mid-morning you're moving between a vendor negotiation on catering costs, a coaching conversation with a team member growing into a supervisor role, and a call with a senior client stakeholder debriefing last week's board meeting.
In the afternoon you review a run sheet for a high-profile event later in the week, sign off on a process improvement your team drafted for the reception workflow, and spend time on the floor: present, visible, available. Before you leave, you check the weekend coverage plan, update your tracker, and send a quick note to the team that executed a difficult event well. That last part takes two minutes. It matters more than most of what took hours.
