AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. The AWS Specialists and Partner organization (ASP) works backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi- billion-dollar businesses. ASP teams are made up of specialists with deep technology and industry expertise who help carry their fields into the future. As part of ASP, you"ll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

A day in the life

• Specialist Solution Architects will engage as expert practitioners with a select set of customers to ensure first-hand knowledge of customer use cases and challenges.
• Demonstrates thought leadership and credibly represents AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
• Specialist Solution Architects serve as a focal point for representing voice and needs of the customer, working with internal customer facing teams and product/service teams to influence the product roadmap.
• Responsibility for leading initiatives to scale innovation and modernization for SAP on AWS, through expertise and guidance, creating new technical and go to market content.
• Specialist Solution Architects have responsibility to maintain expertise across their entire domain, and to consider/explore adjacent areas (e.g. other domains, industry verticals) to anticipate future use cases and opportunities.
