Position SummaryThe Document Control Administrator is responsible for the creation control distribution revision and archival of technical and quality-related documentation. This role ensures that controlled documents-such as procedures work instructions drawings specifications and records-are accurate traceable and available at points of use while obsolete documents are properly removed. The position supports compliance with internal quality systems and applicable regulatory or customer requirements.Position RequirementsAdminister document change requests engineering change requests or similarSupports engineering and production by researching collecting monitoring and maintaining bills of materials BOMs routings change request customer specific requirements various engineering standards ASTM ISO SAE and other controlled documentation.Define and track metrics related to document & task approvals within ERP systemVerifies accuracy of documentation and completeness of files and resolves discrepancies.Ensures documents are retained and destroyed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Follows processes for document approval distribution modification and destruction.Will utilize an electronic documentrecord management system.Enters and maintains bills of material BOM and routings in the ERP system.Develops and delivers training programs educating staff on document control processes in the organization.Ensures that training records are appropriately maintained and entered in the ERP system.Sets up parts in the ERP system and sets up software with multiple types of formatting as directed by that specific PCN.Works with cross functional team to optimize workflow and troubleshoot issues related to document control & routingParticipates in documentation projects and various support functions as required by manager andor cross functional teamWrites and formats user documentation according to approved standards.Administers non-disclosure agreements and ensures they are appropriately maintained.Sets up part information within the ERP systemImplement continuous improvement projects relative to document control workflow ERP system etcServe as internal auditor supporting quality engineering audit requirementsCollaborate with quality compliance engineering legal and operations teams at multinational SSI facilities for various documentation functionsWhen mandated will need to be available to work overtime be it daily extra hours or weekly with additional days added to the work week.Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.Support promote and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies LLC. which includes following the policies procedures and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.ProfessionalTechnical Experience Skills and EducationAssociates degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office required.ERP system experience required. Plex preferredPrevious experience in supporting an engineering or technical department preferred.Knowledge of configuration management or change control processes preferred.Knowledge of ISO & IATF regulatory framework preferred.Basic understanding of engineering drawings and documents and how to interpret them required.Strong technical writing skills with a focus on procedural documents required.Two 2 years of experience to be considered required.Key AttributesPerforms under general supervisionHandles moderately complex issues.Solid working level of knowledge.May mentor or coach.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.The expected wage range for this position is 21.00hr. up to 28.86hr. for highly experienced candidates.
