    This role sits within an enterprise Solution Delivery organization supporting finance and core business integrations in a complex, legacy-heavy environment. The team focuses on maintaining, stabilizing, and gradually modernizing data integrations that move critical business data across systems. The environment values practical problem-solving, ownership, and engineers who are comfortable improving imperfect systems rather than rebuilding everything from scratch.

    Engagement Overview

    • Contract Length: 6–8 months, with possible extensions up to 18 months
    • Engagement Type: Contract
    • Work Model: Hybrid
    • Location: Charlotte, NC
    • Onsite Requirement: 4 days per week
    • Work Authorization: W2 only

    How You Will Make an Impact

    • Support and enhance enterprise data integration processes supporting finance and operational systems
    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing SSIS packages, including break-fix support for legacy integrations
    • Develop and maintain C#-based integrations, primarily within SSIS script tasks and console applications
    • Write and optimize T-SQL objects including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and functions
    • Work confidently within legacy and “spaghetti code” environments, stabilizing systems while contributing to gradual modernization efforts
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
    • Create and maintain technical documentation to support audits, knowledge transfer, and system continuity
    • Participate in rotational on-call support and production issue resolution

    Are You an Experienced Data Integration Engineer Ready to Make an Impact?

    • At least 8 years of total IT experience
    • C#: Minimum 3 years of recent, hands-on experience, including scripting or console applications
    • SQL Server: Strong experience with SQL Server 2016 or higher
    • Tables, Views, Indexes
    • Stored Procedures & Functions
    • T-SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting
    • SSIS: Hands-on experience, including Script Tasks (preferred)
    • Proven ability to work effectively with legacy systems and complex, tightly coupled integrations
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly in production-impacting scenarios
    • Comfortable collaborating within a matrixed, Agile delivery environment

    Nice to Have / Plus Skills

    • Experience building or supporting .NET Web APIs (RESTful services)
    • Exposure to integration modernization efforts (migrating off SSIS into newer patterns)
    • Experience supporting enterprise finance or operational data domains
