Assisting in administering, managing, and operating our Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program. Supervises and directs employees and ensures that veterans receive high quality care.
Monitor all aspects of service delivery to ensure accuracy and timeliness, including intake, assessments, housing stabilization, budgeting, financial entitlements/benefits, case conferences, referrals to community resources, family meetings, advocacy, and coordination with landlords, real estate professionals, government agencies, and community partners.
Support the SSVF Program Coordinator in ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, contract requirements, and affiliation agreements.
Assist with public speaking engagements, staff trainings, and community events to increase awareness of the program and its services.
Provide clinical support and coverage for crisis intervention and emergency services to both staff and veterans.
Supervise, guide, and support program staff, including Case Managers, Housing Search Specialist, Eligibility Screeners, Resource Specialist, and Administrative Assistant.
Oversee employee onboarding, training, supervision, and performance evaluations.
Transport veterans as needed using agency vehicles.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of eligibility screenings, intakes, housing stability plans, temporary financial assistance, and related services in the electronic health record system.
Collaborate as an active team member by providing coverage for colleagues, participating in program activities, and sharing relevant updates with staff.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in non-profit or human services management, mental health, substance abuse, or a related discipline preferred.
2 years of combined human service and supervisory experience.
Valid NJ Driver’s License with a good driving record.
