Job Description Overview
The Stabilizer Multi-Skilled Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of condensate stabilizing facilities and associated production equipment. This position monitors and operates stabilizers, compressors, pumps, boilers, LACT units, tanks, and other production equipment while troubleshooting operational issues and optimizing production. The role also performs condensate/NGL loading and sampling, production reporting, minor equipment repairs, and routine inspections while following all HSE, OSHA, PSM, environmental, and company procedures.
Responsibilities
Safely operate and monitor condensate stabilizer trains and facility equipment. Operate compressors, vapor compressor units, fuel-fired boilers, condensate pumps, pipeline pumps, and LACT units. Load and unload condensate and NGL trucks and perform required product sampling and testing. Inspect tanks, piping, rotating equipment, and separation equipment for leaks or abnormal operating conditions. Monitor pressures, flow rates, operating levels, and equipment performance and make necessary adjustments. Troubleshoot operational problems and perform minor hands-on equipment repairs. Gauge tanks for crude oil and water sales or transfers. Monitor and optimize production, compressor runtime, chemical injection rates, and operating costs. Utilize electronic/remote monitoring systems and enter production volumes, downtime, well tests, and other operational data. Work with Operations and I&E personnel to optimize instrumentation and plant controls. Maintain accurate records, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance. Follow all company HSE, OSHA, PSM, safety, and environmental procedures. Qualifications
3-5 years of oil & gas industry experience. Associate''s degree, trade certification, or higher in Production Technology, Process Technology, or a related technical field. Intermediate understanding of fractionation principles and practices. Basic understanding of gas and liquid measurement, product drying, and sweetening. Basic mechanical and instrumentation knowledge within a plant environment. Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and use hand tools for minor repairs. Comfortable using laptops and applicable software and preparing accurate reports. Ability to read and understand production and financial reports. Must be willing and able to work a 7-on/7-off rotating day and night schedule, including weekends and on-call requirements. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, climb up to 30 feet, and perform required physical duties. Willing and able to travel approximately 10% annually. Must meet all job requirements.
