As a Staff Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of financial data and supporting the monthly accounting cycle within a marine industry environment. You'll work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Processing accounts receivable and payable transactions
- Maintaining and tracking fixed assets
- Performing bank reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
- Supporting employee benefits accounting and expense analysis
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles and internal controls

This position is an in-person role in Southport, ME, with weekday hours from 8 am to 5 pm, offering a choice of a 4-day or 5-day work week.
