East Akron Neighborhood Development Corporation (EANDC) is a Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) Charitable Housing Development Organization. EANDC develops, owns, and manages market rate and affordable housing for low-income, elderly, and veteran residents in Summit County and Stark County, Ohio. We are the largest provider of affordable housing in Metropolitan Akron. EANDC also provides home buying counseling, energy efficiency audits, free energy-efficient appliances, and more to qualified Summit and Stark County residents. General Responsibilities and Essential Functions: A Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the organization's accounting and financial operations. This position involves managing daily financial tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and helping prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Staff Accountant is an exempt full-time position that reports to the Finance Manager and will undertake special projects and tasks as assigned. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and MS Excel The ability to maintain an elevated level of integrity, strict confidentiality, and a positive professional attitude is critical Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
