About the Opportunity 

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the CFO and prepares and maintains accurate financial records and reports.    

Key responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger and sub ledger accounts 
  • Bank account reconciliations 
  • Preparation and entry of journal entries 
  • Month end closing and reporting process 
  • Adherence to accounting procedures and internal controls 
  • Accumulation and preparation of supporting documentation and schedules for periodic accounting, financial, and compliance reporting requirements 
  • Providing, collaborating, and responding to information required from organization team members 

About You 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of training and background 
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency is preferred 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • A self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities 
  • Comfortable working fully on-site in our Ann Arbor office
