
Sr. Staff Accountant Jobot

Basic Function: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of THA’s financial records and supporting the organization’s overall accounting operations. This role performs advanced accounting functions, including preparing financial statements, managing month end and year end close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. The position reviews, coordinates, and completes journal entries, reconciliations, tax payments, cash transactions, and financial reports. It also contributes to the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency. Additional responsibilities include preparing and posting month end entries, researching and resolving issues related to financial transactions, and serving as a backup for accounts payable and payroll functions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of three to five (3–5) years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and month end close. Intercompany and multi company accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and established accounting best practices. Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems such as NetSuite, RAMP, and Paychex. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis functions. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently. Experience supporting audits and year end close processes. Familiarity with payroll and accounts payable functions. Must have valid Texas Drivers’ License and proof of insurance if driving on THA related business. Skills and Abilities: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and resolve complex issues. Strong interpersonal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette when interacting with employees, vendors, and external contacts. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
