Seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to play a key role in supporting the dealership’s financial operations and sales organization.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and experience supporting the year-end close process and commission calculations. Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with CDK are highly valued.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (A/R), ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
• Lead the year-end close process, preparing financial statements and reports, and coordinating with external auditors as needed.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models, conduct data analysis, and generate financial reports.
• Use CDK or equivalent automotive dealership software to manage and track sales transactions.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Calculate commissions for the sales team accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all sales incentives are properly accounted for.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide financial insights and recommendations, supporting the achievement of sales goals.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data and adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the automotive sales industry.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and year-end close processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
• Experience with CDK or equivalent automotive dealership software.
• Proven ability to calculate commissions and other sales incentives.
• Solid understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across the organization.
• High level of integrity and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
