Staff Accountant

LHH is partnering with a large company to search for a temporary Accountant to cover for the next six months. You will be handling month-end close, processing journal entries, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree and at least a year of accountant level experience. There will not be a ton of training for this role so the person joining the team needs to be comfortable learning quickly and being resourceful to ask questions if needed. This is a fully onsite role in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and fixed asset accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports.
• Support general accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
• Prepare schedules and provide documentation for annual audits.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or senior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Associate degree with equivalent experience may be considered).
• At least a year of experience in general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
