At Greystone Golf and Country Club, we're looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant who enjoys more than just balancing the books. The Staff Accountant will provide accounting and administrative support for Greystone Golf & Country Club (GGCC) and the two homeowners associations (HOAs) managed by GGCC. This position is responsible for general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, reserve fund tracking, audit coordination, and homeowner account administration. The role also provides first‑level desktop IT support, coordinates advanced technical support with the Club's third‑party IT provider, and monitors support ticket activity.Essential FunctionsHOA Financial AdministrationPrepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledgerComplete month‑end close, including bank and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare monthly financial statements and HOA Board financial packagesMaintain fixed asset and depreciation schedulesAnalyze account activity, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records with supporting documentationManage annual audits and financial reviewsAssist with collections, delinquency reporting, and payment plan administrationRespond to homeowner inquiries regarding assessments, payments, and account balancesMaintain homeowner account records and ensure compliance with governing documents, accounting standards, and internal controlsAccounting, Budgeting & ComplianceReconcile bank, investment, and reserve fund accountsAssist with month‑end and year‑end closing activitiesAssist in preparing annual operating and reserve budgets for GGCC and the HOAsCoordinate documentation for annual audits and tax filingsAttend HOA Board meetings as requested to present financial information and answer questionsAssist management with financial analysis, special projects, and process improvementsSupport accounting system enhancements and departmental process documentationServe as support and backup for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functionsIT SupportProvide first‑level desktop IT support and coordinate escalated issues with the Club's third‑party IT providerPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field requiredFull understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesMinimum of 2 years of accounting experience preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysisExperience with ERPs, accounting software and financial management systemsSome combination of training and experience in PC technical support, or one year of experience as a PC technician preferredKnowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures for PC repair preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExcellent organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to manage multiple associations, deadlines, and priorities simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsHospitality, private club, restaurant, hotel, or service‑industry experience a plusProlonged periods of sitting and computer workAbility to occasionally lift up to 25 poundsAbility to move throughout the Club as neededSalary Information$27 - $30 Hourly Wage#J-18808-Ljbffr
