Compensation: $24-29/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash applications. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to grow within an organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and review billing and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Apply customer payments including checks, ACH, and credit cards
  • Perform cash application and research unapplied or misapplied payments
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
  • Prepare and post basic journal entries
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support accounting operations
  • Assist with audits and ad-hoc accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2-7 years of accounting experience, including AR/AP exposure
  • Experience with billing and cash application processes
  • Familiarity with accounting systems or ERPs a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUPS
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
