A fast-growing insurance company is looking for a person that has at least 1 year in staff accounting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Preparation of month-end journal entries
- Reconciliation of account schedules
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations in a timely manner
- Assist with month-end financial review/reporting and financial statement preparation
- Maintain all fixed assets and the depreciation schedules
- Support senior accounting staff with assignments and/or special projects
- Manage accounts payable; ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of all vendor invoices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 1+ years of experience in general accounting with a full understanding of US GAAP
- Working knowledge of the accounting process
- Experience in MS Office with proficiency in Excel
- High level of detail orientation, organization, and ability to complete work accurately and timely
