IDR is seeking a Staff Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Bolingbrook, IL. This role involves providing accounting support during employee leaves of absence, initially focusing on project accounting and transitioning into fixed asset accounting as needed, within a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment.
Position Overview for the Staff Accountant:
- Support month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
- Participate in project accounting functions, including IT invoice reconciliation, project setup, and funding administration.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting activities such as asset disposals, CIP settlements, and depreciation reporting.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with company policies and maintain detailed audit documentation.
- Transition between various accounting responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Requirements for the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other large ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
