LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is working with a growing small business-focused accounting firm on the northside of Indianapolis looking for an Accountant. This role will report to an Accounting Manager, support a defined book of clients, and be part of a collaborative team of accounting professionals. This position is open due to continued growth and offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across both accounting and tax in a more balanced public accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact for a group of small business clients
  • Prepare and review monthly compilations and financial reporting
  • Assist with tax preparation (S Corps, LLCs, 1040s) and light review
  • Support ongoing tax planning and client advisory needs
  • Review work and assist with development of junior staff as needed
  • Troubleshoot client bookkeeping issues and provide solutions
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the year
  • Contribute to process improvements and service offerings
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 1+ years of experience within a CPA firm or similar client-facing environment
  • Experience working with small business clients preferred
  • Exposure to compilations and tax preparation (S Corp and individual)
  • CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and client service mindset
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and interested in long-term growth
