McElroy Metal has an opening for a Staff Accountant at our Headquarters in Bossier City, LA. This full time, exempt-level position prepares manufacturing labor hour reports/compilations, assists in financial/bank audits; in addition to, entering standard and non-standard journal entries, General Ledger account reconciliations, Chart of Account & Financial Statement knowledge and maintenance. The position reports to the Corporate Controller. About the Division The Bossier City location was established in 1963, and is the location for our corporate departments, as well as our first manufacturing facility and a McElroy Service Center onsite. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F Responsibilities

Our parent company, McElroy Metal, began manufacturing metal building components in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1963. After years of selling materials to large contractors and building manufacturers, the first Metal Mart location was opened in Austin, Texas in 1985 as a retail outlet, open to the public. The plan was (and is today) to cater to the metal component needs of the do-it-yourself homeowner, contractor, farmer/rancher, local industry, municipalities and service businesses.
