Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is looking to speak with candidates interested in hybrid opportunities in Boston, MA with specifications similar to those below:

Compensation: $70,000-$85,000/yr*

*listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end general ledger journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with the monthly close and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Classify, record, budget, and report financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
• Monitor monthly and annual budgets to actual variances and monthly reforecast accuracy
• Review monthly and quarterly financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP
• Deliver monthly reporting package, providing insight to business trends and variance analysis
• Participate in year-end internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and gathering support for requests from auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of relevant Accounting experience requiring knowledge of GAAP
• Thorough understanding of general ledger, balance sheets, and accrual accounting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
• Strong systems skills/ experience with relevant accounting software required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Initiative to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff
