Staff Accountant

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• 
  
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• 
  
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• 
  
• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice review and payment processing.
• 
  
• Assist with accounts receivable functions, including cash application and customer account reconciliations.
• 
  
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• 
  
• Support financial reporting and audit preparation.
• 
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting projects as assigned.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.
• 
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 
  
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a staff accountant or similar role.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• 
  
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• 
  
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
