We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.

  • Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, including:

  • Cash

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Accounts Payable

  • Prepaid Expenses

  • Fixed Assets

  • Inventory

  • Accruals

  • Intercompany Accounts

  • Support month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

  • Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances.

  • Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

  • Support process improvements and special projects to enhance accounting operations.

  • Partner with teams across multiple departments to ensure accurate financial information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Advanced attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software systems is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally between company locations.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours during month-end close and reporting periods as needed.
