Employ Partners is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing manufacturing facility in Canton, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with manufacturing experience to play a key role in financial operations, compliance, inventory accounting, and reporting within a stable, team-oriented environment.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Description:

Supports the fiscal services functions including reporting of the financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and data analysis.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related financial field required.
  • Five (2) years accounting experience required (automotive manufacturing preferred)
  • Grasp of the Internal Controls and their implementation
  • Understands and applies GAAP
  • Understand and interpret financial statements per GAAP
  • Knowledge of Business Law—e.g. Robinson Patman Act for Price Discrimination
  • Understanding of SAP (an ERP system) and financial impacts of material transactions
  • Understanding the relationship of inventory movements and their financial impact
  • Strong inter-personal skills-communication with staff and management
  • Technical knowledge of subject matter-accounts payable, inventory, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer software – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP, Internet, SAP Financial/Costing System; Platinum Accounting). 


Responsibilities:

  • Audit schedules & explanation of variances for auditors
  • Tax schedules 
  • Report designs in SAP, Platinum FRX Financial Systems
  • Works with auditors preparing required reports and detail information to determine—financial statements compliance with GAAP
  • Identify inventory classification/category definitions of master data set up
  • Analyze cash position and forward proposal to management
  • Execute wire transfer of funds per preset templates on Direct connect
  • Maintain and update fixed asset system for book and tax
  • Maintain allocations and assessments inside SAP
  • Prepare budgets and coordinate with management as required
  • Prepare quarterly consolidation reports for parent company
  • Prepare annual insurance renewal
  • Analyze and prepare reports for tool purchases.
  • Determine proper classification based on ownership
  • Work with Sales, Quality, and Engineering to ensure timely invoicing to customer of monies due
  • Analyze foreign exchange rates and determine best alternative for yen denominated payments
  • Execute wire transfer of funds per preset templates on Wachovia, FORD & IBJ websites
  • Completes and files certain state, federal, and county returns on a timely basis
  • Other associated duties.
