We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a dynamic team in the Napa Valley. The Accounting Specialist will manage various accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years similar experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts ReceivableProcess and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely paymentReview and verify expense reports, purchase orders, and other financial documentsMaintain vendor files and recordsReconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepanciesPrepare and process check runs and electronic paymentsRespond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues promptlyAssist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to APImplement and maintain AP policies and proceduresAccounts Receivable (AR)Generate and send accurate customer invoicesMonitor and follow up on overdue accountsProcess and apply customer paymentsReconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and analyze AR aging reportsAssist in collections efforts and communicate with customers regarding payment issuesMaintain customer files and recordsParticipate in month-end and year-end closing processes related to ARImplement and maintain AR policies and proceduresReconciliationsPerform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliationsPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliationsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerAssist in preparing financial statements and reportsEnsure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accountsQualifications2-3 years accounting experience, preferably within the service, hospitality, or wine industry.Ability to stay organized and manage a steady workload during all times of the month, with an increase during month end closingWork collaboratively as part of a team environmentAbility to work full-time in office, M-F during normal business hours.This position is being offered as permanent with excellent benefits.
