Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting team by ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting the month-end close process, and contributing to ongoing accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist with the month-end financial close process, including preparation and review of supporting documentation.
- Perform reconciliations and review financial data for reasonableness and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure compliance with document retention policies.
- Research transaction details and escalate discrepancies or issues to senior team members as appropriate.
- Support ad hoc projects and day-to-day accounting operations as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes.
- Work as part of a team to meet departmental deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting, including journal entries.
- Core Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive financial information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Education & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ year of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience in consumer finance or auto finance is preferred.
Location & Work Schedule
- Location: Hybrid role based in Chadds Ford, PA.
- Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility to support month-end close and departmental deadlines.
