Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Staff Accountant. This position will support the accounting and finance staff in the completion of departmental tasks including both recurring processes and ad hoc analyses.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare financial statements and other reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
• Conduct account analysis and reconciliations
• Assist with audits, including preparing documentation and supporting external auditors
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist in accounts payable and receivable activities
• Review and approve employee credit card charges and expense reports
• Support integration of new software platforms
• Support continuous improvement efforts in the finance department by streamlining processes and enhancing efficiencies
