Staff Accountant

Our client is a growing nursing home group with a strong reputation for resident-centered care across multiple facilities. They're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team and help keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end close
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple facilities
• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and internal controls
• Collaborate with facility administrators and department heads on financial reporting
• Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed

Qualifications:

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or long-term care accounting
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare billing and reimbursement
• CPA track or active CPA candidate

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience
