Staff Accountant Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will support a broad range of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, reporting, and general accounting activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including entering invoices and matching purchase orders
• 
  
• Manage accounts receivable activities, payment applications, and collections
• 
  
• Process weekly payroll through ADP for approximately 150 employees
• 
  
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
• 
  
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Maintain vendor records and process new vendor set-ups
• 
  
• Generate routine accounting and operational reports
• 
  
• Prepare and issue manual check payments as needed
• 
  
• Support administrative and accounting projects across the organization
• 
  
• Work closely with leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial information is maintained

Staff Accountant Qualifications

• 
  
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong Accounts Payable experience required
• 
  
• Experience with Accounts Receivable, payroll, and month-end close
• 
  
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• 
  
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed
