Staff Accountant - Coral Springs, FL


We’re seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting department in Coral Springs, FL. This full-time, in-office role supports accounting operations for multiple business entities and is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a variety of accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting general ledger activity, preparing reconciliations, entering invoices, assisting with tax-related projects, and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts 
  • Prepare and enter journal entries in QuickBooks 
  • Perform balance sheet account analysis 
  • Complete bank reconciliations 
  • Enter and review invoices 
  • Verify loan balances and related account activity 
  • Prepare Excel-based reconciliations and reports 
  • Assist with tax projects, filings, and personal property tax returns 
  • Complete intercompany reconciliations 
  • Analyze financial data and assist with reporting 
  • Support various accounting and ad hoc projects as needed 
  • Maintain accurate records for multiple entities 

Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of accounting experience preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred 
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles 
  • Intermediate Excel skills required 
  • QuickBooks experience strongly preferred 
  • Helix software experience is a plus 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy 
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
