Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and help ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.
• 
  
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end close process.
• 
  
• The Staff Accountant will prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• 
  
• Perform account analysis and assist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects.
• 
  
• Provide backup support for rebate administration and cash applications as needed.
• 
  
• The Staff Accountant will identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• 
  
• Partner with the Accounting Manager and Controller on day-to-day accounting operations.
• 
  

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant Role

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 
  
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• 
  
• Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data.
• 
  
• Experience with JDE or a similar ERP system is preferred.
• 
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• 
  
• Self-motivated, team-oriented professional who enjoys learning and taking on new responsibilities.
