Staff Accountant

We are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Staff Accountant to join our team in Corona. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and closing activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Monitor cash activity and analyze fluctuations on a daily and monthly basis
  • Maintain and update financial data related to assets, liabilities, and tax accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals
  • Coordinate and assist with periodic physical inventory counts
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings
  • Record payroll-related journal entries and reconcile associated accounts
  • Provide support during audits and assist with financial reporting as needed
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to track financial data and support analysis
  • Cross-train in payroll functions and provide backup support when needed
  • Assist with additional accounting projects as assigned
  • Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
    • Experience with accounting systems is a plus
