Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantSanta Ana, CA | $30-$33/hrService/Construction Related IndustryOur fast-growing client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting, job costing, account reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting activities. This role works closely with Accounting and Operations teams to help ensure accurate financial records and efficient business processes.Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.Analyze account variances and support financial reporting.Maintain fixed asset records and support audit requests.Partner with AP, AR, Billing, and Operations on accounting‑related matters.Assist with job costing, project accounting, and compliance reporting.Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of accounting experience.Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (Dynamics GP preferred).Experience with job costing or project‑based accounting is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
