LHH is partnering with one of our clients to identify a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in Buckhead, Atlanta. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity and financial records for the organization and related entities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations; research and resolve variances.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, including invoice processing and payment review.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting questions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Leverage accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Cloud, or similar) and Excel to manage and analyze data.
  • Participate in process improvements, documentation updates, and other special accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates or recent graduates will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
