    Description

    The Staff Accountant plays a key role within the Krause Group Accounting and Finance team by supporting accurate financial operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Primary responsibilities include reviewing and aligning expense coding to ensure accurate and timely invoice payments, managing the corporate travel and credit card expense programs Accuracy in daily activities, teamwork and adherence to deadlines are required attributes of this role.

    Principal Functions of the Job

    • Support Travel & Expense Program: Assist in processing and reconciling associate travel and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

    • Process Payments: Process and initiate check, wire, and ACH payments as part of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate coding and alignment with budgets.

    • Assist with Month-End Close: Post standard journal entries and accruals, and complete reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.

    • Help Prepare Financial Reports: Assist in reviewing and compiling monthly financial reports for internal and external use.

    • Learn & Improve Processes: Gain experience by helping review and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

    • Work Environment: Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment that supports teamwork and high performance.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required

    • Experience:

    • Experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting.

    • Familiarity with month-end close processes, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

    • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
