Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Elkhart, Indiana. This fully onsite position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role supporting accounts payable, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while continuously improving accounting processes.
Review, code, and process vendor invoices while ensuring accurate two-way and three-way matching, timely payment processing, and prompt resolution of vendor inquiries.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Perform daily cash reporting and weekly bank reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate cash management.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, and assist with audit requests.
Drive process improvements by supporting AP workflow automation, maintaining accounting procedures, and cross-training within the accounting team.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience with strong exposure to accounts payable and general ledger accounting.
Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Experience with ERP systems and a continuous improvement mindset are highly preferred.
