East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team!

The Staff Accountant will ensure the integrity of the accounting information byrecording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

Troubleshooting and Reconciliations 30% of time
  • Provide support with monthly detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile general ledger, subledgers, and activity
Transactional Processing 30% of time
  • Create and process journal entries; including prepaid schedules and accruals
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules and provide support with filing necessary tax filings
Process Management 30% of time
  • Maintain and adhere to month-end and year-end closing processes and deadlines
  • Provide support with creating, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing various accounting processes and financial controls in accordance with GAAP
Cross- Functional Collaboration 10% of time
  • Maintain and adhere to month-end and year-end closing processes and deadlines
  • Provide support with creating, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing various accounting processes and financial controls in accordance with GAAP
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a corporate finance office, preferably in Consumer Packaging Goods
  • Understanding and knowledge of GAAP
  • ERP Experience
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
