Staff Accountant - HospitalityLocation: Fall River, MAJob Type: Full-Time | OnsiteSalary Range: $65,000-$70,000Join a Growing Hospitality Organization Our client is a well-established hospitality and real estate organization seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment while supporting multiple hotel properties and contributing to accurate financial reporting.The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the hospitality industry and familiarity with M3 accounting software is highly preferred.Position Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role partners closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple hotel properties.Responsibilities: Perform month-end close activities for assigned hotel propertiesPrepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expensesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet reconciliationsReview financial statements and general ledger activity for accuracy and completenessPrepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely bank depositsMonitor cash flow, banking activity, and other financial transactionsAssist with tax payment processing and year-end tax preparation schedulesSupport the preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reporting for executive leadershipPrepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance requirementsAssist with monthly intercompany and property rebill processesMaintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation using Microsoft ExcelEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesResearch and resolve accounting discrepancies and balance sheet variancesAssist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assignedQualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP , general ledger accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliationsExperience with M3 Accounting Software is strongly preferredAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsCollaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skillsHospitality or hotel accounting experience preferredMulti-property accounting experience preferredExperience supporting month-end and year-end close processes preferredExperience preparing audit schedules and financial reporting packages preferredBenefits: Competitive compensationMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time OffStable and growing organizationCollaborative and supportive work environmentOpportunity for professional growth and advancement#J-18808-Ljbffr
