Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

As the Staff Accountant you will be responsible for handling specific accounting duties for several company owned entities.

Responsibilities:

AP processing for Bozzuto's golf club, equestrian facility, and wedding and event venueGeneral accounting to support the Cheshire farmstand businessRecording journal entriesPreparing monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accountsAd hoc support for these businesses as requested by on-site operations managers and local controllersSpecial projects focused on process evaluation and implementing improvementsMaintaining professionalism and confidentiality practices regarding company informationPrioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring deadlines are metBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPerform other duties as assigned by leadership

Schedule:

Monday- FridayStandard Business HoursLocation based in Farmington, CT with travel to subsidiaries in Avon, CTTemporary Assignment- 6 months to begin

Compensation:

$58,000 - $61,000

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) to Three (3) years' experience in Accounting & knowledge of GAAPPreferred: Bachelor's Science degree in AccountingPreferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace etc.Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with leadership, customers and internal teams
