Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the monthly and quarterly close process through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, and bank reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and collaborative, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries for assigned areas, including accruals, fixed assets, amortization, cash, and payroll.
Assist in managing the monthly account reconciliation process.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
Support the quarterly financial reporting process by preparing financial statement tie-outs, supporting documentation, and administrative schedules.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies and accounting issues.
Perform analytical reviews of accounts to identify and resolve variances.
Assist in preparing monthly bank reporting packages.
Support ad hoc operational and technical accounting projects as assigned.
Respond to external and internal auditor requests in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and functions), Word, and Outlook.
Experience with JD Edwards Accounting Systems and SkyStem Account Reconciliation is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The pay range for this position is: $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
