Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $60,000–$75,000 depending on experience

Position Overview

Our growing construction company is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role will be responsible for cash application, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments and reconcile cash receipts.
• 
  
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• 
  
• Process vendor invoices and weekly payment runs.
• 
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor records.
• 
  
• Prepare bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• 
  
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities.
• 
  
• Support financial reporting and audit requests.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 
  
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• 
  
• Experience with accounts payable, cash application, and reconciliations.
