Staff Accountant

A rapidaly growing professional services firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team, supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. This is a great opportunity for a detail oriented accounting professional looking to build broad based experience across the full accounting cycle.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including invoice coding, matching, and timely vendor payments, while resolving discrepancies and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash application, collections follow up, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting month end close activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and provide documentation and schedules as needed for internal review and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• One to three years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to AP, AR, and GL functions.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Team player with solid communication skills and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
