This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintains compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient financial operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares and posts monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.Maintains fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, including coordination of technology asset tracking with IT.Processes corporate credit card payments and performs monthly account reconciliations.Monitors and manages the accounts payable mailbox and responds to vendor inquiries.Verifies invoices, performs three‑way matching, processes payments, and communicates with vendors, including freight providers.Processes employee expense reports and maintains employee setup within expense reporting system.Enters, monitors, and reconciles deposit plan invoices and related payment schedules.Assists with payment run preparation, review, and validation.Performs general ledger account reconciliations and supports month-end close activities.Ensures financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified in accordance with GAAP and company policies.Supports internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support financial operations and continuous process improvement.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of proven experience in general accounting roles.Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills.MS Dynamics Navision and SAP ERP experience a plus.Physical and Cognitive Requirements Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 20 lbs on occasion.Ability to use office equipment, computers, and various electronic devices constantly throughout workday.Ability to move around office environment and reach with hands and arms regularly.Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.Ability to focus and complete tasks throughout workday in office environment.The physical and cognitive demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
