They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will support a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions, including bank reconciliations, royalty accounting, fixed asset management, account analysis, and general ledger activities.

The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working with large datasets. Success in this role requires strong Excel skills, experience with NetSuite, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• 
  
• Manage the royalty payment process, including calculating payments, validating data, preparing payment schedules, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• 
  
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations.
• 
  
• Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• 
  
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and research outstanding variances.
• 
  
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and account analyses.
• 
  
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze data, improve reporting, and support financial decision-making.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate accounting records within NetSuite and ensure data integrity.
• 
  
• Use Microsoft Access and other reporting tools to extract, organize, and analyze financial information.
• 
  
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• 
  
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed.

Staff Accountant Education and Desired Skills:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 
  
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 
  
• Previous NetSuite experience
• 
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis functions.
• 
  
• Experience preparing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• 
  
• Working knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• 
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access, SQL queries, and data extraction is a plus
• 
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• 
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• 
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
