Staff Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Support cost accounting functions, including inventory and standard costing
• Analyze manufacturing costs and track production-related financial data
• Partner with operations and production teams to improve financial visibility
• Utilize advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) for data analysis and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Exposure to cost accounting, inventory, or standard costing is highly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
