This is Hybrid role (4 days in office /1 day remote)About your Team:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 -3 years of combined accounting/ or audit experience (can be in small or midsized public accounting firms) and will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes; various management reporting; and various ad hoc responsibilities.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Analysis
Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsAnalyze financial data and provide insights to managementEnsure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standardsAssist in the preparation of management reports
General Accounting
Manage general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliationsProcess journal entries and ensure accurate recording of transactionsMaintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciationReview expense reports and vendor invoices
Month-End & Year-End Close
Lead month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare and post-closing entriesEnsure timely completion of all closing activitiesCoordinate with other family office team members to gather necessary information
Audit & Compliance
Assist with external auditsPrepare audit schedules and supporting documentationSupport tax preparation and planning activities
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processesImplement best practices and internal controlsAssist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures
Qualifications & Skills:Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA candidate or pursuing CPA certification (preferred)
Experience
2 -3 years combination of progressive accounting and auditing experienceExperience with month-end close processesProficiency in general ledger accounting
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP principlesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Archway, or similar)Familiarity with ERP systems
