Are you an accountant who enjoys bringing order to chaos, takes pride in accuracy, and wants more than a repetitive Accounts Payable role?

A rapidly growing, multi-location organization in the greater Charleston, SC area is looking for an ambitious accounting professional to take ownership of Accounts Payable while building the skills needed to become a well-rounded Staff Accountant.

This isn't a position where you'll spend years processing invoices. The plan is for you to become the AP expert for our business during your first 9-12 months while gradually taking on additional accounting responsibilities, including account reconciliations, accounts receivable, general ledger work, month-end close activities, and special projects.

What You'll Do

Initially, your primary focus will be:

• Own the full Accounts Payable process
• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare weekly payment runs
• Maintain vendor relationships and records
• Organize AP documentation for audits and compliance
• Assist with 1099 preparation
• Reconcile corporate credit card activity
• Support fixed asset tracking and vendor purchasing activities

As you grow in the role, you'll gain exposure to:

What We're Looking For

• 1-3+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Solid Excel skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership and improving processes
• Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
