LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a manufacturing company in Hatfield, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations during a 3-4-month contract assignment. This role is fully onsite and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You'll work closely with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, and help ensure consistent accounting processes across the organization.
Staff Accountant (Contract - 3-4 Months) Location: Hatfield, PA (Full Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr Industry: Manufacturing Employment Type: Contract (3-4 months)
Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities • Prepare and analyze bank, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliations • Support AP/AR functions as needed • Process accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset entries • Assist with inventory accounting, cost allocations, and variance analysis (manufacturing environment) • Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies • Generate ad-hoc reports and provide support for internal/external audits • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and supply chain • Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-3+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently onsite in a structured environment Strong communication and organizational skills
