Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant plays a key role within a small accounting team, responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax documents, and ensuring accurate reporting in accordance with accounting principles. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position involves working closely with accounting software to support monthly financial closings and maintain organized, compliant financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
• Assist in tax preparation and filing processes
• Maintain bookkeeping records using QuickBooks
• Participate in monthly financial closing activities
• Utilize accounting software for day-to-day operations

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification or Enrolled Agent designation
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, and tax software
• Strong communication skills
