We offer accounting, auditing, tax planning, tax return preparation, personal financial planning, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts.Role Description: This is a full-time on-site Staff Accountant role located in Hicksville, NY. The Staff Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, ensuring GAAP compliance, handling tax return preparations, conducting audits, and providing consulting services. Additional responsibilities include working on personal financial planning and collaborating with team members to meet clients' needs.Responsibilities Prepare financial statements and manage general ledger activities.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.Prepare and assist with tax return preparations.Conduct audits and provide client-facing consulting services.Participate in personal financial planning and collaborate with team members to meet client needs.Qualifications Experience in tax planning and tax return preparation for individual and corporate returns.Proficiency in accounting operations and in preparing and reviewing financial statements.Skills in personal financial planning and client consultation.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm.Experience with accounting software and financial analysis tools.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or MS/MBA in Accounting/Taxation.2+ years of experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online.2 years of experience with Prosystem FX tax preparation software.Ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, and follow up; ability to communicate with all staff levels.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.Seniority level Entry levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries: Accounting#J-18808-Ljbffr
